I have always been creative and curious. I am a Southern California native. I grew up bare foot and on the beach. I drew furiously as a child and was renowned for taking things apart to see how they worked. I studied drawing, painting, and photography at Biola University in Los Angeles and graduated in 2003 with my degree in Art.
I like to take adventures.
My biggest adventure so far was to go and live in Oaxaca, Mexico for a
year. This was a very formative time in my life as I left
everything and everyone I knew and went to a new and unknown
place. It was beautiful as I came to love and be connected in
this place where I was a foreigner. I found many wonderful
people, delightful food, a rich culture, and a beautiful language that
wraps it all together. I think my idea of the world grew through
this experience as I thought new thoughts and looked at the world
through a new perspective.
I am an artist as well as a
photographer. Art is a very personal journey for me as the ideas
germinate and are birthed by my hard labor, only to be displayed for
all the world to see. For me art is about expression,
experimentation, and discovery. I like to think, question, and
pursue truth. In art, I find a sanctuary for ideas as well as a
beautiful mixture of the technique involved, the subject matter chosen,
and the story created. I work in a variety of mediums, but I
always like to experiment and discover new things. I find myself
coming back again and again to paint and photography. I like the
textures and emotions that they capture.
I specialize in
documentary, fine art, and event photography. Contact me for all your
